Who AM I?
I am Hamidou Kante
I played soccer for my whole life in multiple different countries in Africa. I came to the USA for more opportunities. At age 15, after school I was just playing soccer with my friends a pickup game. A coach from Pacific NorthWest Soccer Club (PACNW) saw me playing soccer ⚽️ and then he walked to me and offered me to play on his Team and all the experiences were paid. I apparently accepted the offer and I quickly delivered by scoring so many goals on my first season with PACNW.
In High school, High-line school District, Tyee changed the long-standing rules that freshmen cannot play for the Varsity team in their first year. But as a freshman I played for the Tyee high school Men’s Varsity team and I took the Tyee high school team to the State Cup final for the 1st time in 35 years. I was again the leading top scorer with 20+ goals.
I got a full ride to go to North Idaho college where I was top scorer. I received multiple offers from Stanford university and UNIVERSITY of Washington. I declined those offered to go pro for the Seattle Sounders and KitSap Pumas over in Bremerton.
I’m currently coaching for Seattle United and I still play soccer in the UPSL League here in Seattle.
I am a Director head coach of NIKE Soccer Camp in all over USA 🇺🇸.
As a player, I won three State Cups and as a Coach won one State Cup.
